Restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity across communities in Cameroon.

She Was About to Give Birth While Her 7-Year-Old Was Fighting Cancer

In June 2026, Cameroon Bridge of Hope Community encountered a mother carrying a burden heavier than most people could imagine. She was pregnant and expecting twin girls, while at the same time caring for her 7-year-old daughter who was battling cancer.

Hospital bills were piling up. Her delivery date was close. She was overwhelmed, afraid, and unsure of how she would get through the next stage of her life. She needed urgent support, not only for her delivery, but also for the survival and stability of her family.

Cameroon Bridge of Hope Community stepped in during this critical moment. We covered her delivery costs, supported her through the process, and stood by her as she safely welcomed her twin babies.

But we knew that support could not stop at the hospital door. After delivery, real life continued. She still had children to feed, a sick daughter to care for, and a household to support. To help her move forward with dignity, we empowered her with a small business so she could begin earning income and providing for her family.

Today, this mother is still facing challenges, but she now has something she did not have before: a way to survive, a way to keep going, and renewed hope for her children.

This story reminds us that real impact is not only about solving one problem. It is about helping people rebuild their lives after the crisis.

Your support can help mothers, children, and struggling families find stability, dignity, and hope. Donate today and make a real difference.
